Mimi Fairy!

The Mimi Fairy (formerly known as the Chomi Fairy) made an appearance.  Well, we mailed her Austin's mimis (per the dentist's advice).  He decorated the envelope and stuck in the mailbox his self.

He has had a very hard time with it.  We took pictures of the envelope in case he asked for the mimi.  That way we could remind him where they are.  We talked it up for a week prior to actually mailing them away.  He new once they went away he was going to get his "big boy" basketball hoop!

He has asked for his mimi every night since last Friday.  Tomorrow will be Friday again, 7 days.  He has finally started napping again today.  Thank goodness.  He is so run down and exhausted from not napping and not sleeping at night, he now has a horrible cold.

He loves his basketball hoop but just wasn't quite ready to give up his mimi at night.  Well. He did it.  I hope he understands what a hard and wonderful thing he did.  Quitting a bad habit is HARD.  VERY VERY HARD!

I thank him, because now I will never have to hunt for one of those things at 1:00 am in the dark in a mess of blankets, search a hotel room for one that has vaporized into thin air, beg a flight attendant to go down into the luggage area and retrieve one from my stroller, cry because she won't, pick up one I randomly find on the ground and wash it because who the heck knows where ours went or buy a 2 pack for $6.00!

Nathan Turns 7!

This year for Nathan's 'family party' on January 1, we held it at Chuck E. Cheese. The kids were happy to have their family there to play and it was EASY for Sal and me.

Next we had a 'friend party' on Janurary 25 at Pump It Up.  He chose a glow party package.  All the lights were turned out and all kids were given a glow necklace.  Jumping in the dark is a whole new experience! Lots of fun when you aren't crashing into people because you can't see.

He was excited to climb the rock wall, even though this picture doesn't show it.

This was all lit up and glowing like crazy.  The camera couldn't capture it.
It was really neat!

Austin Goes to the Dentist

Thank goodness for older siblings because this kid wasn't scared at all!  He actually has asked to go back twice.  His teeth were cleaned and he did great.  Aside from the dingy hygenist who squirted him in the face with the water sprayer (during a "storm"), it went smoothly.  The dentist did say though, its time to give up the mimi.

Kidz Love Soccer!

Well, at least this kid does!  And she is an amazing little runner (if I do say so myself).

Cheyanne started Kidz Love Soccer.  Its a class designed to teach kids how to play and is non-competitive.  There are classes all over California (and beyond?).She loves it!  Coach Scott is very knowledgeable and great with the kids.  The goal is to learn everything she can so in Spring she can start AYSO soccer.
