For over a year our favorite little zoo/park called Happy Hollow in San Jose has been closed for renovations. It definitely needed a face lift and we were glad they were going to fix the rinky dink rides and playground but we missed it! It re-opened March 20 so last Wednesday we had decided we would go check it out. And its awesome!
The rides/zoo/playground are all new and not grimy (which places like that usually are). We had a great time. My favorite part was the baby animals (of course). The baby goats and lambs were precious. The kids of course loved the rides which are all free. No tickets to buy or hands to stamp. You pay to get in and you can ride as many times as you want.
The only thing I didn't like was the stupid price to get in has doubled and to park its $10. That to me is insane. . . so we bought a membership. This will pay for itself in 3 visits and we get 50% off to Coyote Point, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Exploratorium, The Zeum, Lawrence Hall of Science, SF Zoo, Oakland Zoo and some random zoo's around the country. Yay.

There was a big track to ride that thing around.
It looked like hard work but he really liked it.
