My sister Tina used to work for a children's acting school called "Rising Stars". Recently they went out of business, however she still had inside contact information for most of the Talent Agency's in the Bay Area. Her and two of her former colleagues have recently started her own small children's acting school on the side. One of the things they offer is hooking you up with a reputable Talent Agency. This is NOT a guarantee. They send your child's measurements (for clothing advertising) and pictures off to a few agency's and the agency reviews them and then decides if they would like a meeting with a particular child.
This last time she sent out a group of kids' pictures/info, she included Nathan and Cheyanne in the mix because she thinks they are the cutest (hey, she's not biased at all). Based on their measurements and pictures the company Models Inc. in Walnut Creek wants to meet them! BOTH!! My sister said they mostly specialize in fashion and print advertising (Pottery Barn kids, Gap, etc).
We have a meeting October 21st. Apparently this is only a 5 minute meeting per child, but worth it. They will know in 5 minutes if they can work with the child or not. They have the potential to make up to $300/hr!
This may turn out to be nothing, or may turn into something. Either way we are happy. If it does turn into something and ONLY if they enjoy it they may be able to pay for their own college education!
