Every Friday we go to Story Time at the Los Gatos Library. Before we leave we check out a few books for the week. A few weeks ago we checked out "Truckery Rhymes" by Jon Scieszka.
This book is awesome! It plays on all the classic rhymes like Ring Around the Rosie, Pop Goes the Weasel, Rock A Bye Baby etc. and turns them into truck rhymes.
Our current favorite from the book is:
(to the tune of Pop Goes the Weasel)
All around the parking garage Pat Pumper chased the Diesel.
Pat Pumper thought it was all in fun till
POP! Blows the Diesel
Pat Pumper with a spool of hose
Lucy with her ladder
That's the way the truck game goes
